About Us

Kreative K-9 Fashions was formed out of the nee for elite, but affordable coats for Greyhounds.  This notion came tolight when we went to our first reunion in 1998.  It turned out to be a cool wet day in May.  our Grey was wearing a raincoat we had created.  Many people commented on how difficult it was to find a properly fitted raincoat, and wanted to know where we got it.  When we told them that we made it, they seemed disappointed that they could not buy one.  Therefore, we decided to create an even better raincoat that we could sell.  This was the beginning of Kreative K-9 Fashions.

The pictures on our site are of our Greys.  Shayna was an AKC type (found in a local shelter) that we welcomed into our family in 1995 at the age of two.  She was the inspiration that started Kreative K-9 Fashions.  She was a loving girl that played with her toys and ran in the yard.  We would like to play ball, as she used to push the ball with her noise.  Shayna was one that never cried or showed pain.  Always with her head up.  She was diagnosed with lung cancer on September 13, 2007.  She pasted over the Rainbow Bridge September 17, 2007, at the age of 14 years.

Shayna will always be our inspiration and will be in our hearts forever.

Sabra was from the Lincoln Rhode Island track, and was welcomed into our household in 1999 at the age of four as my gift after cataract surgery.  The girls worked hard modeling the coats, and were paid a cookie a day plus lots of love.   Sabra was sweet, quiet and very loving.  Unlike Shayna, she did not like to play with toys, except for an occasional chewing of her bone.  Sabra would rather stay at your side waiting to ber petted. Sabra was very close to Shayna, and missed her dearly.  She was diagnosed with bone cancer after she broke her wrist on September 19, 2007.  She passed over the Rainbow Bridge September 22, 2007, at the age of 12 years.

Like Shayna, Sabra will remain as a warm spot in our hearts forever.

We welcomed Adina to her forever home on October 13, 2007.  She is from the Lincoln Rhode Island track, and was two years old.  Adina is very sweet, but timid, and is coming out of her shell learning all that is needed for a happy life.

Aliza was welcomed to her forever home on November 30, 2009.  She was born in Ireland in September, 2002.  We have no history on her until 2005 when she had five races at Twin Rivers track in Rhode Island.  Aliza did poorly and was sent to be a brood mama in 2006.  She had her last litter in May 2008.  In two she had a total of 22 pups.  In September, 2009 she was put up for adoption.  We love her very much and happy to give her happiness for her remaining years.
